Surat : SpiceJet, India's leading budget airline, has started flights from Surat to Goa and Pune from today, October 10, 2023. This marks the first time that Surat has got connectivity with Mopa International Airport in North Goa.
The airfare of both the flights is around Rs 4000 to Rs 4500. SpiceJet is expecting good passenger load on these flights, especially after the opening of Heerabursa, a new diamond bourse in Surat.
The flight to Goa will depart from Surat Airport at 5.20 pm and reach Goa at 6.50 pm. It will depart from Goa at 7.20 pm and reach Surat at 9.05 pm. Goa flights will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The flight to Pune will take off from Surat Airport at 6.20 am and reach Pune at 7.40 am. It will take off from Pune at 3.10 pm and reach Surat airport at 4.20 pm. Flights to Pune will be operated on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, the flight will take off from Pune at 7.50 am and reach Surat airport at 9.00 am.
SpiceJet is also planning to start flights to Jaipur and Mumbai from Surat in the coming days. This will further expand the airline's network and provide more options for travelers in Surat.
The start of new flights by SpiceJet from Surat is a welcome development for the aviation industry in India. It will provide more convenience for travelers and boost the local economy.
