SURAT: With the anticipation of Navratri festival building up, many have commenced their preparations, getting into the groove of the traditional dance, Garba. However, a dark cloud cast its shadow over these festivities in Surat as a young man met with a tragic end during a Garba class.
Raj Dharmesh Modi, a budding student set for higher education in London, was practicing Garba at a class located on Adajan LP Savani Road. Witnesses recall the horrifying moment when Modi suddenly collapsed during the dance session. Despite immediate attention, the young man's life could not be saved.
The unexpected demise has thrown his family into deep mourning. The initial suspicion revolves around a heart attack, pointing to a concerning trend of increasing heart incidents among the youth.
For now, the exact cause remains a mystery. The post-mortem, conducted at the New Civil Hospital, is expected to shed light on the tragic incident soon.
