"Meri Mitti Mera Desh" Campaign Launched by BJP: A Nationwide Drive to Celebrate Unity and Honor Martyrs
Soil and Rice Collection Initiative to Culminate in Delhi's Amritvan
SURAT: Under the banner of 'Meri Mitti Mera Desh', the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated the Kalash Yatra, aiming to touch every ward of the nation. The grand celebration, chaired in Surat, emphasizes the unity and integrity of India and pays homage to the country's martyrs.
Gujarat's BJP president, C.R. Patil, inaugurated the yatra in 30 wards of Surat today, marking the collection of soil that will subsequently be sent to Amritvan in Delhi. As part of the event, attendees congregated at the statue of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar on Ring Road, with state BJP officials, MLAs, and local leaders in attendance.
A core objective of the yatra is the collection of soil and a pinch of rice from each ward, symbolizing a nationwide pledge and connection. These materials will later contribute to the establishment of Amrit Vatika in Delhi, a tribute to the valiant women and heroines of India.
The three-day yatra in Surat features 30 dedicated vehicles, each responsible for gathering soil from individual wards. This initiative reflects BJP's continuous endeavors to engage with the public, regardless of the electoral calendar, thereby solidifying its image amongst the populace.
The event saw participation from notable figures including State Home Minister Harshbhai Sanghvi, Forest and Environment Minister Mukeshbhai Patel, and Surat City Mayor Daksheshbhai Mavani, among many others.
