Union Home Minister Amit Shah Partakes in 'Swachhta Hi Seva' Drive in Ahmedabad
Mahashramdaan Campaign Echoes the Message of 'Garbage Free India'
Ahmedabad, 01 October (Hindustan Reporter) - As part of the nationwide initiative, 'Swachhta Hi Seva', spurred by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, numerous Mahashramdaan activities were orchestrated on October 1. Embracing the essence of community participation, the campaign emphasized 'Mahatmat Lokbhagidar' and the 'Ek Tarikh, Ek Ghanta' message, urging citizens to dedicate an hour to cleanliness.
Gandhinagar MP and Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah, ardently supported this drive by partaking in a dedicated hour-long cleanup at the Ranip Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) bus stop. In accordance with the 2023 'Garbage Free India' goal, Shah, accompanied by local residents and sanitation workers, undertook the responsibility to spruce up the vicinity. In the midst of this, he also paid a visit to the revered Hanumanji temple located in the Ranip zone.
Lending their presence and backing to the campaign were notable personalities such as Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibhaben Jain, Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani, MLAs Jitu Patel, Harshadbhai Patel, and Alpesh Thakor. Former Standing Committee Chairman Hitesh Barot, Ranip Ward Councilor Dashrath Patel, along with other eminent figures like Viral Vyas, Bhavi Panchal, and Geeta Patel also marked their attendance, amplifying the campaign's significance.
