Amit Shah Inaugurates Development Projects Worth Rs 1651 Crore; Praises Narendra Modi's Leadership
Union Home Minister Highlights Accelerated Development under the Current Leadership
GANDHINAGAR, 30 September - In a significant move towards infrastructural development, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, inaugurated and laid the foundation for 39 development projects. Managed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the Ahmedabad Urban Authority (Auda), these projects amount to a staggering Rs 1651 crore.
At an event held in Tragad, Gandhinagar, Shah lauded the proactive approach of the state government and the AMC. Under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's leadership, they've anticipated and addressed citizens' needs even before being vocalized. Shah highlighted the commendable achievement of inaugurating and initiating 11,000 development projects, costing around Rs 17,544 crore, within the span of 52 months in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
Shah drew attention to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the speed and efficiency of the present government. He illustrated this by pointing out that what took 50 years to accomplish earlier was now being achieved four times faster, all within three months. Shah lauded India's successful organization of the G-20 Summit, and the inclusion of the African Union in G-20, as a testament to India's solidarity with both developed and developing nations.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel voiced his vision of a self-reliant India, rooted in a self-reliant Gujarat. He underscored the significant strides Gujarat has taken towards urban development, spotlighting the state's largest-ever budget allocation of Rs 3 lakh crore for infrastructure development. Over the next five years, an ambitious Rs 5 lakh crore is planned to be spent on infrastructure.
During the event, various projects including a pink toilet, overhead tank, the Lalita Govind garden in Tragad, community halls, and MS pipelines were inaugurated. The ceremony also included the foundation-laying for several upcoming projects. Notable attendees at this momentous event included State Cooperation Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma, MP Dr. Kirit Solanki, Hansmukh Patel, Narhari Amin, among others.
