Ahmedabad Construction Tragedy: Scaffolding Collapse Claims Lives of Three Workers

AHMEDABAD, 30 September  - A tragic accident unfolded in the Ghuma area of Ahmedabad late Friday night, resulting in the deaths of three construction workers. As workers were working on the scaffolding attached to the 12th floor of the under-construction building, Jhaveri Greens, the support structure gave way, causing them to plummet to the ground.

Details emerging from the site, located near Shantipura Circle in the Bopal-Ghuma area, indicate that the workers were on a lift-like scaffold working on the 13th floor when a critical stand of the scaffold broke. This catastrophic failure led to the workers' fatal fall from the 12th floor.

The deceased, identified as Rajesh Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, and Amit Kumar, hailed from Barabanki and Amethi districts in Uttar Pradesh. They had been involved in construction activities in Ahmedabad for several years.

Local police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident and potential negligence that might have contributed to the tragic event.
