Surat : Ventura Airconnect Expands Fleet for Gujarat's Interstate Air Services
New Aircraft "Dev" to Boost Connectivity Across Five Sectors in the State
Surat — Ventura Airconnect, a Surat-based airline company specializing in interstate air services, has unveiled its latest aircraft, "Dev (VT-DEV)," which will enhance connectivity between key cities in the state of Gujarat. The new aircraft was inaugurated today at a special ceremony held at Surat Airport, presided over by BJP State President C.R. Patil and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi.
The aircraft, valued at approximately Rs 30 crore, was flagged off by the dignitaries and is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Surat and other major cities in Gujarat. The initiative comes as a part of an agreement between Ventura Airconnect and the state government aimed at bolstering the existing air network within the state.
Starting next year, the airline will operate daily flights across five sectors in the state using 9-seater Cessna Grand Caravan aircrafts, one of the safest in its class for this type of route. The enhanced service will include routes between Surat and Ahmedabad, Surat and Bhavnagar, Surat and Rajkot, and Surat and Amreli. The company will also offer an evening flight from Surat to Ahmedabad.
Ventura Airconnect's new service promises to be a game-changer in terms of time-efficiency. Depending on the sector, the travel time from Surat to Bhavnagar will be 30 minutes, to Amreli will be 45 minutes, and to both Ahmedabad and Rajkot will be 60 minutes. Each flight will accommodate nine passengers and two pilots.
This rapid air service initiative, facilitated by the state government, is not only set to benefit the elderly and differently-abled in times of emergencies but is also expected to have a positive impact on local industries and tourism. Additionally, the airline is equipped with live-tracking features comparable to those in larger aircraft.
Ventura Airconnect has been operational since 2014 and has seen consistent growth over the years. The introduction of the new aircraft "Dev" marks a significant milestone for the company. Originally starting with a single aircraft, the airline expanded its fleet to cover five sectors, enhancing its capacity to connect the cities of Gujarat more effectively.
In the words of industrialist Savji Dholakia, who also attended the inaugural event, "This is a significant step forward not just for the city of Surat, but for the entire state of Gujarat."
The expanded fleet and services underline Ventura Airconnect's commitment to playing a pivotal role in the state's transportation infrastructure, promising more efficient travel and contributing to the economic development of Gujarat.
