Surat — Dindoli police, acting on a tip-off, raided a birthday party late last night at an office located in Rajmahal Shopping Mall in Surat's Dindoli area. The party was being held in the shop number 1002, and involved around 20 individuals, including college students and those involved in the land brokerage business. Police have detained all individuals, conducted medical checks, and are currently proceeding with further legal actions.
The Tip-Off and the Raid
The police received information about a birthday party being thrown by a young man named Anurag Sharma, who is in the land brokerage business. Sharma had gathered a large group of friends for the dual-purpose celebration—both a birthday and a liquor party. The shopping mall, notably, is located just a short distance from the Dindoli police station. Acting on the information, the police conducted a raid, detaining 20 individuals found consuming alcohol at the venue.
The Detainees
Among the detained were Bhestan residents Anurag alias Bunty Shankar Shukla, Anil Shaligram Shahi, Mausam Dineshkumar Shah, and several others, totaling around 20 individuals. All were found to be consuming alcohol, in violation of the law.
Medical Checks and Seizures
Those detained were visibly inebriated, prompting the police to conduct immediate medical examinations at Surat Smeer Hospital. During the raid, Dindoli police also seized three bottles of foreign liquor, two empty bottles, and various snack items along with Bisleri water bottles from the party venue.
Ongoing Investigation
Some of those arrested are college students, while others are involved in the land brokerage business. Individuals from prominent families were also among the detained. As of now, a case has been registered against all involved, and the police are taking further actions.
The raid highlights the ongoing efforts by local authorities to clamp down on illegal activities, reinforcing the importance of adhering to local laws and regulations.
