Rander Police Busts Women-Only Gambling Party in Surat

Surat — A women-only gambling party was abruptly ended by the Rander police in the Palanpur Jakatnaka area of Surat. Six women were caught red-handed while engaged in a game of Teen Patti, also known as 'Three Card Poker.' Valuables and cash totaling over Rs 26,000 were seized from the location.
Tip-off Leads to Sudden Raid
Acting on a tip, a team of Rander police personnel raided a residential unit in Dharmaraj Apartments, where the women had gathered to engage in the illegal gambling activity of 'Haar Jeet' on Teen Patti. The women were found deeply engrossed in the game when the police arrived to break up the party.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings
Following the raid, all six women were arrested, and cash along with gambling equipment was seized. The seized amount totaled Rs 26,200. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the women, and a case has been registered.
