Sparkle International Gems and Jewelry Exhibition - 2023" Illuminates Surat
A Three-Day Extravaganza Showcases the Pinnacle of Indian Craftsmanship with High Hopes for Export and Economic Growth
SURAT, INDIA – The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and South Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industry Development Center have inaugurated the dazzling "Sparkle International Gems and Jewelery Exhibition - 2023" at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Indoor Stadium in Athwalines, Surat. The three-day exhibition, open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on 25th, 26th, and 27th August 2023, showcases both traditional and innovative jewelry designs.
The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday at 10:00 am by local MP and Gujarat BJP state president, C.R. Patil, who, along with his wife Gangaben Patil, visited various jewelry stalls to admire the latest designer creations. Surat Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairman Paresh Patel was also present at the function, expressing support for the artisans and craftsmen.
An Economic and Cultural Beacon
Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasia spoke passionately about India's economic potential, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of a five trillion US dollar economy by 2027. He also emphasized the SGCCI's mission to increase exports from Gujarat, highlighting Surat's flourishing gems and jewelry industry as a key driver of growth.
C.R. Patil applauded the Chamber's efforts, expressing pride in the jewelry designs reflecting Indian culture and hinting at the rising economic prosperity of the nation. He also suggested that the Chamber of Commerce should request the inclusion of Sparkle in the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat-2024 event.
A Diverse and Stunning Collection
The Sparkle Exhibition has been organized on a B2C basis, with around 30 jewelers from various cities, including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Bikaner, displaying their ornate creations. Unique highlights include a silver collection with idols of prominent Indian figures and landmarks, and special necklaces crafted for NRIs, weddings, and upcoming festivals.
The fusion of classic and contemporary designs is aimed at various occasions, from bridal rings to festival jewelry, offering customers an exclusive collection of uniquely branded items.
Chamber's Vice President Vijay Mewawala extended his gratitude to all attendees at the opening ceremony, reflecting a sense of unity and ambition among the industrialists, politicians, and artists present. The successful inauguration marked an optimistic beginning for an event that not only celebrates Indian craftsmanship but also serves as a platform for economic growth and international connection.
