Surat's renowned Diamond Hospital made history by overseeing 31 childbirths in a single day, marking a record in its 10-year history. With 17 daughters and 14 sons born in the last 24 hours, the hospital was filled with the joyous sounds of new life. Notably, the hospital provides free delivery services for girl children, adding a special touch to this extraordinary day.
Trustee Dinesh Navadiya expressed the overwhelming happiness among the hospital's staff and the families of the newborns. All 31 babies are reported to be healthy, a testament to the hospital team's diligent work. The hospital charges only 1800 rupees for a normal delivery, but if a girl child is born, there is no charge at all. Cesarean deliveries are offered at a nominal fee of 5000 rupees.
In addition to the already impressive record, the hospital has a unique practice of giving a bond of one lakh rupees for each daughter born to a couple if they have more than one daughter born in the hospital. So far, the hospital has distributed bonds worth 20 crores to 2000 daughters, emphasizing its commitment to supporting and celebrating the birth of girls.
