Ahmedabad : Terror Unleashed in Madhupura: Police Arrest Four in Sword-Wielding Rampage

Gang of seven threatened security guards and ransacked property with swords and knives, demanding ransom; four arrested while search is on for three absconding accused. Community praises police response, but fear remains.

Ahmedabad - In a brazen display of violence, four accused have been arrested for creating terror and panic in the Ashtavinayak Complex in Madhupura Bazar. Wielding swords and knives, a gang of seven threatened security guards, vandalized property, and demanded ransom. Police are actively searching for three other absconding accused.

The incident occurred late at night on August 13th, when the seven anti-social elements stormed the complex. The criminals threatened the security guard with a sword, demanding ransom and insisting on payments for additional security. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, providing evidence of the violent rampage.

The Madhupura police have arrested Jayanti Parmar, Mehul Rana, Karan Rana, and Bhavesh Bhil for the crime, while the search continues for the remaining three accused.

According to police investigations, the main accused, Jayanti Parmar, is related to a known anti-social element in the area, which has instilled fear among the local population. This fear has resulted in reluctance to file complaints against the criminals.

In an effort to bolster public trust and reduce fear, the police took the arrested individuals to the scene of the crime and demonstrated adherence to the law. Local businesspeople applauded the police's actions.

While the arrests have made a significant impact, there remains a need for strict action against such elements to prevent further incidents. The police are appealing to the community to register as many complaints as possible against such individuals to ensure that they face legal consequences.

The remaining absconding accused, Mahesh Thakor, Batli, and Prashant Rawat, are still at large, and their search continues.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges in dealing with violent crime in the region and emphasizes the importance of community cooperation and robust law enforcement to ensure safety and restore peace.
