SURAT - In a commendable act of bravery, the fire department in Surat's Adajan region managed to save a bull that had accidentally fallen into a deep pit near Sant Tukaram Society in Palanpur Jakatnaka.
Local construction activities around Sant Tukaram Society led to the presence of a seven to eight-foot-deep pit. Unfortunate circumstances saw a wandering bull in the vicinity fall into this excavation, with over four feet of water compounding the animal's plight.
Responding swiftly to the distress call, the fire department, led by Fire Officer Girish Selar, launched a well-coordinated rescue mission. With the use of a JCB machine, the fire crew made an accessible path by breaking a part of the pit's front. Subsequently, securing the bull with a rope, they managed to extract the trapped creature safely, ensuring it sustained no injuries in the process.
