Chamber Aims to Expand Business Opportunities in 84 Countries, Eyes Significant Contribution to India's GDP

South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Holds Post Acceptance Ceremony

Surat: In a move aimed at enhancing business opportunities across various sectors, the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organized its prestigious Post Acceptance Program at Platinum Hall, Sarsana. This ceremony marked the handing over of responsibilities to new members, including the founder group presidents and various committee heads.

Chamber President Ramesh Vaghasia emphasized the program's focus on innovation, direction, and a fresh approach. Highlighting the formation of over 100 different committees, Vaghasia said, "These committees delve deep into the opportunities and challenges of different industries. They are instrumental in devising solutions for industry-related problems." The ceremony saw the distribution of appointment letters, officially instating the group presidents, co-presidents, and advisors into their roles.

In light of the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 project, Vaghasia elaborated on the chamber's ambition to connect young entrepreneurs with markets across 84 countries. He noted the impressive business performance of several young entrepreneurs from Gujarat, including Surat, underscoring the potential for enhanced networking and education.

"As the Government of India paves the way for expansive export opportunities, the Chamber stands committed to ensuring our entrepreneurs reap the maximum benefits. Such endeavors can substantially boost India's GDP," Vaghasia asserted. He further appealed to the newly appointed members to promote SGCCI's initiatives both domestically and in 84 international markets.

Expressing gratitude, the Chamber's Vice President, Vijay Mewawala, thanked attendees. The ceremony was gracefully steered by Nikhil Madrasi, the Honorary Minister of the Chamber. Kamlesh Gajera, the Group Chairman, provided insights into the program's objectives, while Chamber member Swati Sethwala led the prayer. Notables present at the event included past President Himanshu Bodawala, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar, and various committee heads and advisors.
