Union Minister Mandaviya Backs SGCCI's Ambitious Global Connect Mission
Initiative aims to bolster India's export economy and bridge 84,000 entrepreneurs globally
SURAT: In a move to amplify the country's export economy, the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) introduced their Global Connect Mission 84 project to Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The meeting, held on August 8, 2023, in New Delhi, witnessed a deep dive into the ambitious project's significance for bolstering India's economic strength.
Under the leadership of Chamber President Ramesh Vaghasia, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar, and other notable members, the comprehensive mission seeks to promote exports, particularly from the Gujarat region. As a core initiative, SGCCI aims to launch an online international platform, bridging 84,000 entrepreneurs from Gujarat with an equal number of Indian entrepreneurs operating across the globe.
Additionally, the project is set to unite 84 Chambers of Commerce from India and around the world, providing interactive sessions for traders. This global network, further augmented by liaisons with the Consul General of India across 84 countries, offers traders the requisite guidance on international trade regulations and business conventions.
Throughout the deliberations, Union Minister Mandaviya displayed keen interest, posing intricate questions to gain a holistic understanding of the initiative. Echoing his commitment to the cause, he assured SGCCI of the Indian Government's unwavering support for the Global Connect Mission 84. Additionally, Minister Mandaviya pledged comprehensive backing to address trade-industry challenges specific to the South Gujarat region.
