Surat: The 'Yarn Expo-2023' hosted by the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and the South Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industry Development Center, is set to wrap up tomorrow. Having taken place at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Center, Sarsana, the event has attracted a considerable number of buyers over its initial two days, with a further surge expected for Sunday's finale.
Ramesh Vaghasia, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said the expo showcases a diverse range of yarns utilized for the production of specialty fabrics. These include 100 percent polyester textured yarn, dope dyed polyester yarn, recycled polyester yarn, Sislo polyester yarn, melange yarn, and cationic yarn. Additionally, visitors can see and order a variety of other unique products like Air Textured Yarn, Slub Yarn, Cotton Look Polyester Yarn, Cotton Feel Polyester Yarn, Fancy Polyester Yarn, Inherent Fire Retardant Yarn, and Inherent Anti-Bacterial Yarn.
Approximately 6,500 buyers attended the inaugural day of the expo on Friday, followed by around 7,100 on Saturday. The diverse turnout represented 61 different cities from various states across the country. Yarn manufacturers and exhibitors have reportedly received a significant number of orders during the event.
Sunday marks the final day of the 'Yarn Expo-2023', with anticipation of a substantial surge in footfall. With such a strong turnout thus far, the event is on course for a successful conclusion.
