Ahmedabad: The thrilling helicopter joy rides over the Sabarmati Riverfront, previously halted due to an expired contract, are scheduled to recommence from August 12. This gives residents and visitors another opportunity to behold the grandeur of Ahmedabad from the skies.
Aerotrans, the company that operates the Joy Ride service, launched the initiative on January 1, 2022. Since its inception, it has given over 7,500 thrill-seekers a unique aerial perspective of the city.
Aerotrans has revealed that the joy rides will operate two days a week, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays, and will accommodate a total of 75 passengers per day. Each helicopter flight will carry five passengers, providing a roughly 10-minute tour of Ahmedabad.
For the resumed services, the per-passenger rate has been revised from INR 2,360 to INR 2,478. Booking for these exciting joy rides will be made available online.
