Gujarat ATS Foils Potential Terror Plot Targeting Janmashtami Festival

In a major breakthrough, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has unveiled a chilling plot while interrogating terrorists apprehended from Rajkot two days ago. The intended target of these terrorists was the upcoming Janmashtami festival in Gujarat. Recognizing the festival's significance in Saurashtra, which attracts millions to temples, tourist spots, and folk fairs, the terrorists saw an opportunity for a large-scale attack.

Further investigation by the ATS found that the terrorists had also surveyed the railway station as a possible target. Fortunately, the ATS intervened in time, thwarting their plans, with more details expected to emerge in the coming days.

Social media discoveries indicate that these terrorists were also undergoing training to handle firearms, including the AK 47. Currently, 10 to 12 individuals are under the ATS's scrutiny, among whom a local artisan of Bengali origin, identified as a brother-in-law, seems to be of interest. He is believed to have assisted the terrorists in their plots, raising suspicions that along with the three known terrorists, other radical individuals may be involved.

As part of the ongoing investigation, bank records of the three apprehended terrorists have been examined. Financial accounts of those affiliated or in contact with these terrorists and their families will also be under review. The ATS is keen to discern if any foreign funding played a role in this potential terror plot.
