SURAT: In a remarkable achievement, Yashvikumari Chowdhary from Surat clinched the first position in the Medical College merit list for the entire state of Gujarat. Representing Vashishtha Vidyalaya located in Vav of Surat Kamrej, her stellar performance has become a source of immense pride for her district.
Medical aspirants across the state, after clearing their 12th-grade science examinations, take the NEET to gain entry into prestigious medical colleges. Following this exam, the Admission Committee for Professional Under Graduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) Gandhinagar releases the merit list. For the academic year 2023-24, based on the NEET UG-2023 results, Chowdhary emerged as the frontrunner. Her achievement is even more notable, considering her top rank with an ST 0001 merit category for the whole of Gujarat.
Demonstrating academic excellence, Yashvi scored an impressive 599 out of 700 in her NEET, translating to 98.54%. Her overall ranking was 01168, with an All India Rank of 29461. When asked about her success, the bright student credited her school for their excellent teaching methods, thorough preparation, meaningful revisions, and an effective examination strategy.
