Ahmedabad : RTO Under Scrutiny Following Complaints of Driving Licenses Issued Without Mandatory Tests

AHMEDABAD: In a startling revelation, Ahmedabad city's RTO (Regional Transport Office) has come under scrutiny following complaints of driving licenses being issued without conducting mandatory tests for applicants. Sameer Ratandharia, Jaydipsinh Jhala, and Bhaven Shah were taken into custody following a probe that unveiled a potential nexus involving technical manipulations by RTO officials and agents.

Reports indicate that failed applicants were illegally passed through "technical rigging," further accentuating the gravity of the offense. Post their arrest, two of the accused have been presented in court and subsequently placed on a one-day remand for further questioning.

Further intensifying concerns was the recent uncovering of a considerable scam wherein fraudulent licenses were allegedly issued under the pretense of military affiliations. Culprits reportedly employed military cantonment addresses for the production of these sham driving permits. The Crime Branch, delving into this disturbing discovery, has expressed suspicions of international implications, with potential links pointing towards Pakistan. An accused hailing from Kashmir has piqued the interest of multiple agencies, spurring an intensive investigation into this intricate web of deceit.
