The Surat police recently caught a woman named Manisha from Parvat Patiya, who was running a brothel in the guise of a spa. She was involved in prostitution with young girls, charging customers Rs 1,000 and giving a portion of the earnings to the girls. Acting on a tip-off, the Umra police sent a decoy customer to a massage parlour in the Hirapanna Complex of Citylight. The police found Manisha involved in prostitution with two young girls. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the spa's manager, Manisha Suresh Maratha, lived in Umiyanagar-1, Parvatgam. The police conducted a raid, and both girls were rescued.
Anti-Human Trafficking Unit Raids Spa on Ghoddaur Road
The Surat Anti-Human Trafficking Unit recently raided a spa running on Ghoddaur Road, in the Umra police station area. The police registered a case against shop owner Manoj Anil Joshi, tenant Laljibhai Bhimjibhai Hadiya, and spa owner Sohail. The establishment was found to be a prostitution den disguised as a massage parlour. Customers were charged money in the name of spa and massage, and girls were brought in for prostitution. During the raid, the police recovered manager Rinku alias Rocky Jagdish Shahu and customer Ramesh Berana, seizing Rs 11,300 in cash. The police have declared Manoj Anil Joshi and Lalji Hadiya wanted.
