Surat : Youths Arrested for Dangerous Bike Stunts on Parlepoint Bridge
Police Take Action in Response to Viral Video Concerns
Surat: In a recent incident, two youths were apprehended by the Umra police after performing high-risk bike stunts on the Parlepoint Bridge. A video of the duo standing on a motorcycle while riding went viral, prompting concern from the community and the authorities.
With the rising popularity of high-speed vehicles, police are increasingly concerned about daredevil antics that not only put the stunt performers in danger but also the public. This latest stunt, captured in a video that has since circulated widely on social media, led to the arrest of the two young men.
Officials revealed that the video was shot on July 17 at approximately 11:15 pm. In their bid for social media fame, the two riders chose the Dumas Road near Parle Point as their location to film. The motorcycle they used bore the license plate: GJ 05 MU P250.
Prompted by the viral video and the subsequent uproar on social platforms, surveillance in-charge Umra PI J.G.Patel, 2nd PI DD.Chauhan, and PSI A.N.Chauhan mobilized their teams. With the help of informers and technical analysis, they successfully identified and located the perpetrators at Parle Point.
The culprits have been identified as Dheeraj Vikramsinh Chauhan, a resident of Azadnagar Slum, Bhatar, and Kishorebhai Dhanka, who resides inside Chopati Garden, Athwalines.
The police have issued a stern warning, stressing the importance of curbing such behavior to set a precedent for others who may be tempted by the allure of viral fame. They hope that these arrests serve as a deterrent to others who might consider endangering their lives and the lives of others for a moment in the spotlight.
