SURAT - An ambitious attempt to capture a unique beach experience turned into a struggle for a group of youngsters near Surat on Sunday. They found themselves stuck, quite literally, in a predicament of their own making at Dabhari beach.
Dabhari beach, along with Dumas and Suvali beaches, is a popular weekend destination near Surat, frequently bustling with both locals and tourists. Despite recurring incidents of vehicles getting trapped in the sand, the lure of the sea continues to entice risk-takers who venture close with their cars.
The latest victim of this attraction was a local youth who decided to take his car to the beach for a video shoot. The seemingly fun endeavor quickly soured when the vehicle became stuck in the sand, marking another entry to the growing list of similar beach mishaps.
After the vehicle lodged itself in the beach's muddy terrain, a desperate rescue mission was set in motion. Local youths rallied together in an attempt to free the entrapped car. Despite the concerted efforts of approximately 15 to 20 individuals, the car stubbornly refused to budge.
For these youngsters, what started as a thrilling outing ended in a sweaty, strenuous ordeal. Today's incident serves as another reminder of the risks associated with bringing vehicles too close to the beach's unpredictable terrain.
