SURAT - In a heart-wrenching incident caused by careless driving, a one and a half-year-old child lost his life after being struck by a car in the Olpad region of Surat. The toddler was playing in a local residential society when the accident occurred. Despite immediate hospitalization, the child succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The incident took place in Saurashtra Green Society in Umra village, where the child, Kashyap, the son of Chirag Parsania, was playing outside. Tragically, a neighborhood resident named Vishal, driving the car, hit the toddler as he took a turn without due care. The child was crushed under the vehicle's tire, resulting in severe injuries.
Following the accident, Kashyap was rushed to a nearby hospital in Surat by his parents. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he passed away during treatment.
After the tragic incident, the bereaved father, Chirag Parsania, lodged a complaint at the Olpad police station. Authorities have since registered a case against the driver, Vishal, and further investigation is underway. This incident serves as a grim reminder of the fatal consequences of negligent driving, highlighting the importance of road safety even within residential areas.
