Cetex Expo 2023 Wraps Up, Fostering Innovation in India’s Textile Industry
South Gujarat Trade Bodies Collaborate to Host Successful Cetex Textile Expo, Attracting Over 21,000 Buyers Across India
Surat: The Cetex Exhibition 2023, a prominent textile machinery showcase, culminated successfully on July 10, 2023, drawing a remarkable amount of interest from across the country.
Organized by the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), the South Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industry Development Center, and the Surat Techmac Federation, the three-day event was held at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana, starting July 8th. The expo attracted a flood of enquiries from buyers interested in cutting-edge textile machinery.
Ramesh Vaghasia, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, underscored the significant role of the expo in spurring the city's textile industry forward. He advocated for the adoption of state-of-the-art machinery to ensure quality output for export markets. Vaghasia emphasized that the Cetex expo would greatly assist in fulfilling the Prime Minister's export target of $1 trillion under the Kanhay Global Connect Mission 84. He asserted that the expo, by fostering the development of the textile industry, could drive the economic growth of the Gujarat region and the nation at large.
The Cetex Exhibition paraded the latest textile machinery, attracting a diverse range of buyers from across the nation including Jammu, Delhi, Erode, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and others. The event served as a platform for showcasing advanced machinery and forging connections with new clients. The exhibitors affirmed the success of the expo, reporting that 80% of the visitors were new buyers.
Over the course of the three-day event, the expo registered a total footfall of 21,593 visitors who expressed keen interest in the displayed machinery and accessories. The Cetex Expo 2023 has left a mark as a thriving hub for textile machinery, textile auxiliaries and machinery, textile engineering, and related machinery and accessories. The feedback gathered pointed to the expo's resounding success and its crucial role in shaping the future of India's textile industry.
