Rapid Action Force conducts mock drill for Rajkot Police
Training given to control rioting mobs and avoid incidents of mob lynching
Rajkot Police recently received special training from the Rapid Action Force of Ahmedabad on how to control rioting mobs and disperse them to prevent incidents of mob lynching. The training, which took place over two days, included a mock drill demonstration presented by RPF Commander Govind Prasad Nihal and his team of 70 to 80 soldiers. The demo showcased the use of various weapons and equipment, including bulldozers commonly used by police to control mobs.
The training aimed to equip police staff with the necessary skills to handle and control situations that may arise during riots in the city. The training also focused on sensitive areas of Rajkot where incidents of rioting and mob violence are more likely to occur.
During the training, Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargava emphasized the importance of controlling riotous mobs and avoiding incidents of mob lynching. The program was attended by several high-ranking officials, including JCP Saurabh Tolambia, DCP Crime Partharaj Singh Gohil, DCP Zone 1 Sajjan Singh Parmar, DCP Zone 2 Sudhir Kumar Desai, and ACP and PI of all police stations. The training is expected to help the police better respond to incidents of mob violence and ensure public safety.
