SURAT - A horrific accident on Surat's new ring road, near Khadsad Road in the Sarthana area, resulted in two fatalities and one severe injury on Monday. Following a head-on collision between two luxury cars, the fire brigade quickly arrived on the scene to extract the wounded from the wreckage. Currently, police investigations are underway to further unravel the circumstances of the accident.
The deadly event unfolded on the four-lane Sarthana Khadsad Road. The ring road, still under construction, became the stage for this terrible incident when an Ertiga and a Harrier collided at high speed. As a result of the impact, occupants of both vehicles sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital. Sadly, two individuals succumbed to their injuries.
Upon hearing the news of the crash, local residents rushed to the scene. A crowd quickly formed, assisting in transporting victims to the hospital via 108 ambulances. The fire brigade was subsequently alerted and dispatched to the accident location, where they were forced to cut through the car panels to rescue the occupants.
Authorities believe that the high speed at which both luxury cars were traveling at the time of the accident significantly contributed to the severity of the injuries.
