The people of Surat, having adopted a health-conscious outlook post the Corona era, are drawn to these novel forms of yoga promising physical and mental fitness.

The intriguing 'Aerial Yoga,' known for boosting flexibility, alleviating back pain, and improving overall physical fitness, has become a city favorite. The rhythmical 'Yoga Garba,' merging the joyous clapping and music of traditional garba with the soothing tranquility of yoga, has also gained popularity.

On the auspicious occasion of World Yoga Day, yoga gurus from various organizations will lead the massive crowd. Yoga trainer, Dishaben Jhaveri, speaks highly of Surat's residents, citing their eagerness to explore new things. Following specialized training from a European trainer based in Mumbai, Jhaveri introduced aerial yoga to her classes in Surat, met with an overwhelmingly positive response.

Enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels are invited to engage with these yoga styles, as Jhaveri reassures, there are no boundaries to learning. Particularly, aerial yoga attracts health-conscious women due to its quick inch reduction, enhanced flexibility, and back pain relief.

Anish Rangrej, an advocate of Yoga Garba, confirms the growing popularity of the innovative fusion of traditional garba with yoga, highlighting its contribution to physical and mental well-being. Rangrej perceives this amalgamation as a groundbreaking effort to popularize India's ancient practices on a global scale. The fusion harmonizes the physical benefits of acupressure points activated through garba's hand clapping and foot tapping with the calming influence of yoga, aptly christened as 'Yoggarba.'

As Surat prepares to make history on World Yoga Day, a multitude of 1.25 lakh participants, practicing new-age yoga forms, is set to capture global attention.
