After the demise of the head of the Dobariya family, late Vitthalbhai Karshanbhai Dobariya, his family presented an exemplary example of human service by donating his eyes to Lok Drishti Chashak Bank and his body to the Indian Red Cross Society, through the Choryasi Taluka branch to P.P. Savani University, Ankleshwar. Late Vitthalbhai Dobariya was born in 1937 in Dhargani village of Amreli district.
He was the eldest among five brothers and four sisters. His family has been residing in Om Nagar, located in Parvat Patiya, Surat since 2000. After his demise, his sons Mansukhbhai, Jaysukhbhai, the family of late Hasmukhbhai, daughters Kamalaben and Geetaben, and grandsons Ravibhai, Vijaybhai, Gautambhai, and Ashishbhai fulfilled the commitment of eye and body donation as a social responsibility.
After receiving information from Ashokbhai Nasit, Dineshbhai Jogani from Lok Drishti Chashak Bank completed the eye donation process. Meanwhile, the team from the Indian Red Cross Society, Choryasi Taluka branch accepted the body donation after medical approval and dedicated it to P.P. Savani University. On this occasion, Dr. Prafulbhai Shiroya, president of Lok Drishti Chashak Bank, Dineshbhai Jogani, Dhirubhai Akbari, former MLA V.D. Jhalawadia, Shantilal Chavtiya, Dineshbhai Hirpara, Ramanikbhai Sawaliya, Ashokbhai Nasit, Gunubhai Dhsa, Babubhai Radadiya (Director of Varacha Bank), Ramabhai Sheldia, along with family members, friends, and prominent community members were present.
During the program, Dr. Prafulbhai Shiroya and Dineshbhai Jogani highlighted the importance of eye and body donation and raised awareness among the attendees. They expressed gratitude for the humanitarian decision made by the donor family. On this occasion, trustees of Lok Drishti Chashak Bank, members of the Red Cross Society, Lions Club of Surat East, Rotary Club of Surat East family, and Vallabhbhai Savani, Dr. Ghanshyambhai Patel, Dr. Gourang Lasonaswala, Dr. Bhupendra Shah, and Dr. Sunita from the Anatomy Department of P.P. Savani University, along with all present, paid heartfelt tributes to late Vitthalbhai Dobariya.
