Varachha Cooperative Bank Limited, a leading multi-state scheduled cooperative bank in Gujarat, has achieved a significant milestone at the national level. The bank was honored with three prestigious awards under the 'Bharat Ratna Cooperative Awards-2026'.
This recognition was presented during the India Cooperative Banking Summit-2026, held from June 5 to 7, 2026, at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The bank was declared the winner in the categories of 'Best Urban Cooperative Bank', 'Best Digital Bank of the Year', and 'Best Mobile Banking Initiative'. These awards symbolize the national recognition received for the bank's excellent banking services provided to its members, customers, and society over the past three decades, as well as its innovations in digital banking and effective use of modern technology.
Notably, the bank was recently granted the status of 'Scheduled Bank' by the Reserve Bank of India, marking an important milestone in its growth journey. The three national awards received shortly thereafter add another glorious chapter to the bank's achievements. During the award ceremony, the bank's chairman, Narendra Bhai Kukadia, deputy general manager, Suresh Bhai Kakadia, and IT manager, Ketan Bhai Bhalala, accepted the honors on behalf of the bank.
On this occasion, chairman Narendra Bhai Kukadia stated that the bank is continuously progressing with a business of over ₹7,000 crores and will always work with a positive mindset to provide better digital banking facilities to customers. He attributed this achievement to the dedicated work style of all the bank's directors, management members, and employees.
He expressed confidence that the bank will continue to reach new heights in the future with the values of innovation, transparency, and excellent customer service.
