During a public meeting held during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Surat, Gujarat's Home State Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi stated that there is a long-standing emotional bond between the Prime Minister and the people of Surat. The Deputy Chief Minister mentioned various welfare schemes of the central government, stating that Prime Minister Modi has launched significant initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Yojana to make citizens self-reliant in the energy sector.
He also provided information about various green projects and environmental protection initiatives operated by the Surat Municipal Corporation. In his address, Harsh Sanghvi stated that in the past 12 years, the country has established many new dimensions of development. Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, millions of families have been provided with permanent housing, while significant changes have been observed in the fields of roads, railways, air transport, health, education, and digital services.
He emphasized that today India is rapidly advancing on the global stage, giving equal importance to development and environmental protection. The event held in Surat symbolizes this thought and resolve, showcasing the coordination of development, environment, and public participation.
During his speech, Harsh Sanghvi appealed to Prime Minister Modi, stating that the people of the country trust his leadership and are concerned about their security, urging him to reconsider the decision to reduce security forces, emphasizing that the safety of citizens is paramount. Thousands of people from Surat gave a standing ovation during the event to mark the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Modi's governance, applauding him and praising the achievements made under his leadership.
