Oil Spill Incidents Cause Havoc for Two-Wheeler Riders in Rajkot

Motorists in Rajkot were thrown into disarray when an oil leak from a vehicle on the Kalavad Road underbridge led to a number of accidents. The spill created perilous conditions for two-wheeler drivers, leading to multiple minor injuries and one severe head injury.

Most two-wheeler riders managed to escape with minor injuries, however, one biker was not as fortunate. Suffering a serious head injury, the local populace rushed him to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Upon receiving information about the oil spill, a fire engine was promptly dispatched to the scene. The spilled oil was cleared away using a water cannon to prevent further incidents.

Unfortunately, this was not an isolated event. A similar situation had recently unfolded on the Chandranagar Bridge in Paldi, Ahmedabad. Once again, an oil spill on the road led to a series of vehicle skids and subsequent injuries among motorists.

The spill created congestion as vehicles found themselves caught in an unexpected jam. The vigilance and swift action of local police, ensuring drivers were aware of the slippery conditions, averted a potentially larger accident. These incidents have underscored the dangers oil spills pose to road safety and the urgent need for effective spill management.
