Surat: Patients Reach Polling Station from Hospital Bed, Umeshbhai Mishra Sets an Example

An inspiring incident in Surat on the occasion of Democracy Day highlighted the importance of voting. Umeshbhai Mishra, a 46-year-old resident of Indira Nagar in the Hirabagh area, who was hospitalized due to a serious kidney illness, set an example by exercising his voting rights.

Umeshbhai Mishra had been receiving treatment at P.P. Savani Hospital for the past few days. On Sunday morning, he expressed his desire to vote in front of the hospital management and medical staff.

Taking his request seriously, the hospital administration consulted with doctors and made special arrangements. Subsequently, under the supervision of a team of super-specialist doctors, the patient was transported via ambulance to Ward Number 4, Booth Number 24, where he cast his valuable vote. After voting, he was safely returned to the hospital, and his treatment continued.

According to the hospital administration, the patient's strong willpower and awareness of democracy inspired everyone. After the voting, the hospital staff and doctors also appreciated his initiative. This incident demonstrates that regardless of how difficult the circumstances may be, citizens can strengthen democracy by being vigilant about their rights and duties.
