Rajkot: Youths Take Oath for Voting at Ramakrishna Ashram
In Rajkot, various awareness programs have been intensified to strengthen democracy and increase the participation of young voters. Under the guidance of District Election Officer and Collector Dr. Om Prakash, the 'SWEEP' (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) campaign is being actively conducted throughout the district. In this context, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram in Rajkot organized the 'Vivekananda Service Core' youth training program. The main objective of this program was to empower youth and make them aware of democratic values.
During the training, the youth were educated not only about leadership and social responsibilities but also made aware of the importance of voting. At the end of the program, all participants took an oath to use their voting rights as aware citizens in the upcoming elections.
The youth also pledged to encourage their families, friends, and other members of society to vote, ensuring maximum voter turnout. This initiative is expected to increase the active participation of youth in the upcoming elections and further strengthen democracy.
