Surat: Lawyer Preetiben Joshi Honored in Cape Town, Krishna Janmashtami Celebrated at Bhagwat Katha

 

Surat. The celebration of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was held with great enthusiasm during the famous Bhagwat Katha at the Radha Krishna Temple in Cape Town, South Africa.

The atmosphere was filled with devotional chants, and devotees were seen swaying to the rhythm of bhakti. A special program was organized during the 891st Bhagwat Katha by renowned storyteller Prafulbhai Shukla, where Preetiben Joshi, a well-known lawyer from the Supreme Court of Surat and recently elected member of the Gujarat Bar Council, was honored. This honor was presented by the Cape Hindu Culture Society.

Members of the organization, including Sanjaybhai Bhagavakar, Neeruben Patel, Deepakbhai Kalan, Secretary Maitribhen, Darshanbhai Patel, Urmilaba, Deviben Mohanbhai Kalan, Sureshbhai Desai, and Jayaben Patel, conducted the ceremony amidst Vedic chants. Prafulbhai Shukla mentioned in his address that it is a matter of pride that a distinguished lawyer from Gujarat, who has won the Bar Council of Gujarat election, is being honored on the soil of South Africa, across seven seas.

After receiving the honor, Preetiben Joshi expressed her gratitude to the storyteller and the Cape Hindu Culture Society, describing it as a moment of pride for her. This event not only showcases the global dissemination of Indian culture and traditions but also stands as a strong example of cultural connection among the Indian diaspora.
