Rashmika Mandanna Trains in Martial Arts in Bangkok for Maysa
Actress Rashmika Mandanna has trained in martial arts in Bangkok for the film Maysa. She is stepping into one of the most challenging phases of her career due to her upcoming pan-India action drama film Maysa.
The intense glimpse of the film has already generated significant buzz, and Rashmika's off-screen efforts are raising expectations even higher. Directed by debut director Ravindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, Maysa features Rashmika in the role of a tribal Gond girl, a character that requires both emotional depth and tremendous physical strength. The stunts are being prepared under the supervision of international action director Andy Long, setting the stage for the film to establish a new benchmark for female-led action in Indian cinema.
After hearing the script, Rashmika made a significant decision to prepare herself physically and mentally for this role. To make the action look authentic and powerful, she went to Bangkok, where she is participating in an intense stunt and combat boot camp. Her daily routine there is quite challenging, as she trains for about eight hours each day, learning advanced stunt techniques, hand-to-hand combat, and high-speed action coordination from experts around the world.
Her training photos reveal a different side of Rashmika, showing her as focused and fearless, contrasting sharply with her previous soft roles. The team will soon begin an important 16-day action schedule for the film in Kerala, and Rashmika's current training is specifically designed for this challenging segment. It is clear from her hard work that Maysa is not just a film for her, but a significant transformation and milestone that she is determined to achieve.
As the shooting and preparations progress vigorously, the excitement among fans regarding her unique avatar is also increasing. The film also features talented actors like Ishwari Rao, Guru Somesundaram, and Rao Ramesh in key roles. Shreyas P.
Krishna is handling the cinematography, while Jakes Bijoy has composed the music. International stunt choreographer Andy Long is overseeing the action scenes for this major project.
