Bhoot Bangla’ Paid Preview Earns Crores

The horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’, featuring Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and directed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, has made a spectacular comeback after 14 years. Released in theaters on April 17, the film created a buzz at the box office even before its release.

According to trade analyst Sacnilk, during the paid preview on April 16, the film collected approximately ₹3.50 to ₹3.75 crores net at the domestic box office. There is significant excitement among audiences to see this duo, known for delivering blockbusters like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, as reflected in the paid preview figures. The film has received positive feedback from audiences and critics on social media, leading to expectations of a strong opening day collection.

Experts believe that ‘Bhoot Bangla’ could collect around ₹15 crores on its first day, potentially surpassing the opening record of Akshay Kumar's previous film ‘Jolly LLB 3’ (₹12.50 crores). Despite being released in a non-holiday week, Priyadarshan's comedic style and Akshay's comic timing have generated tremendous craze for the film, resulting in large crowds in theaters. Notably, the box office is already dominated by Ranveer Singh's ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which has achieved a net collection of ₹1100 crores in India and ₹1738 crores worldwide.

However, this has not affected the earnings of ‘Bhoot Bangla’. The film's star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Vamika Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar. The comedic trio of Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav has once again made audiences laugh, increasing the film's chances of sustaining its run.
