Surat: CISF's Vigilance at Airport Returns Passenger's Bag Filled with ₹1.5 Lakh Safely
A commendable example of vigilance by the CISF was witnessed at Surat Airport on Thursday morning, where security personnel recovered a lost handbag belonging to a passenger and returned it to its rightful owner. According to information, a handbag was accidentally left by a passenger in the domestic aviation security check area (SHA) around 7:30 AM on April 16, 2026, which was found by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel.
Acting promptly, the security team reviewed CCTV footage, which led to the identification of the bag's owner as Mr. Pritesh Kansara. It was reported that the bag contained approximately ₹1.5 lakh in cash.
After completing the necessary verification process, the CISF safely handed over the bag to the passenger, who was traveling from Surat to Delhi on flight number 6E-6399. The passenger expressed gratitude for the CISF personnel's promptness, vigilance, and professional conduct. CISF officials stated that ensuring the safety of passengers as well as their belongings at Surat Airport is their primary responsibility, which is being fulfilled with utmost dedication.
