On April 7, 2026, Raju Bhadke, the Divisional Railway Manager of the Vadodara division of Western Railway, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Pratapnagar–Ektanagar rail section. During this visit, he also inspected the ongoing non-interlocking work to upgrade Moraiya station from D Class to B Class.
According to a press release issued by Anubhav Saxena, the Public Relations Officer of Western Railway Vadodara division, the DRM reviewed the under-construction foot over bridges, station master panel room, and high-level platform number 1 at Kundhela and Tilakvada stations. At Dabhoi station, he reviewed the foot over bridge and platform construction works and instructed the concerned departments to complete the tasks within the stipulated time frame. He emphasized the need to expedite the construction of the over bridge at Tilakvada station and prioritize passenger facilities.
Additionally, he inspected drinking water, shade cover, cleanliness, lighting, fans, and seating arrangements at various stations and stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat Mission. During the inspection, Mr.
Bhadke also tested the signal and point interlocking system at Moraiya station and instructed railway personnel to work in a safe and secure manner. The upgrade of Moraiya station from D Class to B Class will enhance the section capacity of the Pratapnagar–Ektanagar rail line, paving the way for additional train operations on this route and providing better facilities for passengers.
