Surat: BJP launches 'Ghar-Ghar Maha Sampark' campaign on Foundation Day, intensifies election preparations
On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Foundation Day, the 'Ghar-Ghar Maha Sampark' campaign was launched in Surat city. This campaign is being conducted with an eye on the upcoming local body elections.
It was initiated under the direction of state president Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma, the guidance of Union Minister of Water Resources C.R. Patil, and the leadership of Surat city president Paresh Patel. It is noteworthy that the BJP was established on April 6, 1980, in Mumbai, and since then, this day has been celebrated as Foundation Day every year.
Following this tradition, a large-scale public outreach campaign has been organized in Surat city this time. During the campaign, party workers contacted people door-to-door in all wards of the city. A significant number of party workers, including MPs, MLAs, councilors, and other public representatives, actively participated.
Additionally, on April 6, Foundation Day programs will be held in each ward, where senior party leaders will provide information about the history, ideology, organizational values, and discipline of the BJP. This extensive campaign is seen as a strategy to strengthen the organization and increase outreach to voters in light of the upcoming elections.
