Amitabh Bachchan hails India as global leader in sports and talent following historic cricket victories
Mumbai January 7. Cricket has always been more than just a sport for India, serving as a symbol of pride and enthusiasm where every major victory by the national team creates an atmosphere of joy across the country. However, the year 2025 established a significant record as it was not just the men's team, but also the women's cricket team and the blind cricket team that emerged as world champions, bringing glory to the nation. The simultaneous triumph of all three teams marks a momentous occasion for the country.
Reacting to this achievement, megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared the significance of this historic moment in a blog post, stating that the emergence of all three teams as world champions in a single year is not merely a victory for the sport but a symbol of the country's potential and hard work. As per agency report, the actor observed that such moments demonstrate that India is no longer just a country progressing in development but is also leading at the global level in terms of sports and talent.
Bachchan further remarked that while India is often referred to as a third-world country, this achievement has completely transformed that perception, and the nation should now be viewed as a first-world nation. He added that there is an interesting story behind this victory, which he intends to share at a later time.
