Appointment Letters Distributed to 1,878 Anganwadi Workers and Helpers in Central Gujarat
Vadodara, 17 November: The Women and Child Development Department has completed the process of filling vacant posts at Anganwadi centres in the Central Gujarat zone. A total of 1,878 selected Anganwadi workers and helpers from Vadodara city and various districts of Central Gujarat received their appointment letters during a special programme.
As per agency report, these appointments were made under the transparent recruitment process prescribed by the state government. Appointment letters were handed over to all selected candidates in the presence of Chief Inspector Balkrishnabhai Shukla and other dignitaries.
The newly appointed workers and helpers from eight districts—Vadodara Municipal Corporation area, Dahod, Panchmahal, Anand, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur and Kheda—received their letters and expressed happiness. They pledged to work with dedication towards the care of children, mothers and adolescent girls.
Addressing the gathering, the guests highlighted that children are the future of the nation and that Anganwadi workers serve as true guardians of their health, nutrition and development after their mothers. For this reason, they are often referred to as Yashoda Mata. The newly appointed personnel were urged to perform their duties responsibly and contribute to the goal of building a healthier India.
On this occasion, the new recruits were encouraged to work with complete sincerity in the areas of child development, nutrition, education and community service. The state government’s initiative is expected to strengthen Anganwadi services across rural and urban regions, giving a new direction to maternal and child health as well as overall development.
The programme was attended by Mayor Pinkiben Soni, Standing Committee Chairperson Dr. Sheetal Mistry, District Panchayat President Gayatribaa Mahida, District Development Officer Mamta Hirpara, District Panchayat Executive President Nilesh Purani and other officials and public representatives.
