Elon Musk reveals partner Shivon Zilis is half Indian and son is named after Nobel laureate Chandrasekhar
New York, December 1. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has stated that his partner Shivon Zilis is half Indian and that they have chosen the middle name Shekhar for one of their children in honor of Nobel laureate Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar.
Speaking during an interview on Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath’s show People by WTF, Musk mentioned that he has a son with Zilis whose middle name is Shekhar, named after Chandrasekhar. As per agency report, S Chandrasekhar was a renowned Indian-American astrophysicist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1983 for his theoretical studies on the physical processes important to the structure and evolution of stars.
Zilis and Musk share four children, including twins Strider and Azure, a daughter named Arcadia, and a son named Seldon Lycurgus. Zilis serves as the Director of Operations and Special Projects at Neuralink, a company owned by Musk.
When asked if Zilis had lived in India, Musk explained that she was adopted when she was young and was raised in Canada. He added that he believed her father had come to study at a university or something similar, though he did not possess full details regarding the matter, noting simply that she was adopted.
