Road repair works accelerate in Rajkot district following Chief Minister's directive

Rajkot, November 27: Following the conclusion of the monsoon season in the state, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has issued instructions to immediately complete the repair of damaged roads across all districts. In compliance with this directive, the Road and Building Department in Rajkot district has accelerated resurfacing and patching works on various routes, including the Paddhari service road.

Repair work on the service road in the Paddhari area is currently underway, while tasks such as resurfacing and road leveling on the Lodhika-Ribda road are being executed with priority. As per agency report, systematic asphalt patching, pothole filling, and resurfacing activities have commenced on rural roads alongside main highways in the post-monsoon period.

These repair initiatives are expected to provide significant relief to local residents, traders, and transport services. Officials have stated that technical teams are conducting regular inspections to ensure that quality standards are strictly adhered to during the road construction and resurfacing processes.

The department has further informed that repair and resurfacing work on other major roads in the district will be initiated in a phased manner in the coming days. This effort aims to make the entire road network stronger and safer for commuters.
