Luxury Mercedes Car Gets Stuck in Sand at Surat’s Dumas Beach Despite Vehicle Ban

Surat, October 28 A red Mercedes car sank deep into the sand at Surat’s famous Dumas Beach, once again exposing reckless disregard for safety regulations despite a strict ban on vehicle entry in the area. The incident highlights how the passion of wealthy car owners for thrill and display continues to override administrative restrictions.

As per report, the luxury car, bearing registration number GJ 05 JH 5155, was driven onto the beach in violation of the rules. The vehicle got trapped as the tide rose suddenly, causing waves to crash against it. The rear portion of the car was submerged nearly 60 percent in seawater, and the strong pressure even forced the trunk open.

After repeated failed attempts by the owner and driver to move the vehicle, a heavy-duty crane had to be called in to pull the car out of the sand. Only with the crane’s assistance was the vehicle finally retrieved and moved to a safe location.

Following the incident, Dumas police arrived at the spot and initiated legal action against the car owner based on the vehicle registration number. Authorities confirmed that violating the ban on vehicle entry at Dumas Beach could lead to fines or other penalties.

This is not the first such incident at Dumas Beach. Similar cases of luxury cars getting stuck in sand have occurred earlier, reflecting a continuing pattern of negligence and defiance of public safety norms. The administration has expressed concern over repeated violations despite clear restrictions aimed at protecting both visitors and the fragile coastal environment.
