Preparations begin in Surat for grand Chhath Mahaparv celebrations with devotion and enthusiasm
Surat, October 19 – The preparations for the Chhath Mahaparv, one of the most significant festivals for devotees from India’s Purvanchal region, have begun in Surat with great enthusiasm and devotion. Organized by the Purvanchal Chhath Seva Samiti, this year marks the third edition of the celebration, which has already created a festive and spiritual atmosphere across the city.
As per agency report, the committee has started the preparation process in collaboration with the Surat Municipal Corporation. The inaugural ceremony witnessed the participation of several organizers and local representatives, including councillor Dinesh Rajpurohit, Jeetu Bhai Kachhad, Rajesh Patel, Mukesh Singh, Kamlesh Patel, Parmalink Shah, Pramod Rawat, Manoj Rawat, Sanjay Patel, Ajay Upadhyay, Bhutani Patel, Deepak Sahani, Rajesh Verma, Dileep Sahu, Dhananjay Tarvay, Pannalal Chaudhary, Shyam Lal Patel, Sudhir Verma, Vinod Chaudhary, Shobha Khengar, Anil Yadav, Munna Yadav, and Mukesh Pandit. Together, they formally commenced the festival preparations.
The committee is focusing on cleaning and beautifying the ghats, enhancing safety arrangements, and organizing cultural programs to ensure a grand and devotional atmosphere for devotees. The Purvanchal Chhath Seva Samiti aims to make this year’s celebration in Surat a dignified event that reflects the spirit of faith, cleanliness, and unity among the Purvanchal community residing in the city.
