Surat: Strict Security Arrangements in Sachin GIDC During Diwali Holidays
Surat: To ensure the safety of industries in the Sachin GIDC area during the Diwali holidays, stringent security arrangements have been put in place. In a joint meeting organized by the Sachin Industrial Association and the Surat Police Department, it was decided that 110 CCTV cameras will remain operational across the area and police patrols will continue round the clock to prevent any untoward incidents.
Most industries in Sachin GIDC will remain closed from Diwali evening until Labh Panchami. During this period, the police department has prioritized security by deploying special patrol teams. Three police vehicles will continuously monitor the industrial zone to prevent incidents such as theft or vandalism.
The meeting was attended by Sachin Industrial Company Society president Kishorbhai Patel, vice-president Nilesh Gami, secretary Mayur Golwala, treasurer Girishbhai Rahulia, notified president Mitulbhai Mehta, and members including Umeshbhai Patel (Jadugar), Bhikhubhai Nakarani, and Gaurang Chapatwala. Senior police officials including DCB head Rajesh Parmar, ACP Deep Vakil, PI Kuldeepsinh Gohil, and second PI Bhavishbha Parmar were also present.
During the discussion, police officials urged industrialists to verify the functioning of CCTV cameras installed in their premises. They also advised that if any business owner needs to withdraw a large amount of cash from the bank, they should inform the Sachin Police for necessary security arrangements.
Police further instructed that if any watchman or security guard is appointed during the holidays, the company must retain copies of their Aadhaar card and passport for verification. Sachin Notified Security Staff, along with police personnel, will remain on active duty during this period.
Secretary Mayur Golwala appealed to industrialists to switch off the capacitors in their units to avoid unnecessary electricity consumption and reduce the risk of fire incidents.
Overall, vigilant and comprehensive security measures have been enforced across the Sachin GIDC industrial area to safeguard properties and maintain peace throughout the Diwali holiday period.
