Kartik Aaryan Credits Kabir Khan for Transforming Him as an Actor After Winning His First Filmfare Award for Chandu Champion

Mumbai – Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has said that director Kabir Khan did more than just direct the film Chandu Champion — he transformed him as an actor. As per agency report, Kartik, regarded as one of the most dependable and popular stars of Indian cinema, has officially etched his name in Filmfare history by winning his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his powerful and transformative performance in Kabir Khan’s sports drama Chandu Champion.

Expressing his emotions on social media, Kartik wrote that a champion may fall but never gives up, adding that moments like these feel like a dream. Holding the Black Lady trophy, he said, was a surreal experience for someone who once only watched the awards on television. The actor dedicated the recognition to all dreamers who never stop believing in themselves.

Kartik expressed deep gratitude to his director Kabir Khan, describing him as a filmmaker filled with honesty, emotion, and strength. He said Kabir did not merely direct the film but reshaped him as an artist. He also thanked producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Wardha Khan Nadiadwala for their constant support, cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee for infusing emotion into every frame, and music director Pritam for giving the film a soulful sound.

The most emotional moment of the evening came when Kartik dedicated his award to the real-life hero Murlikant Petkar, whose inspiring life story continues to motivate millions.

Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions romantic comedy Tu Mera Main Teri, Main Tera Tu Meri. His upcoming projects also include an untitled love story directed by Anurag Basu and the highly anticipated film Nagzilla.
