Chai Pe Charcha Charitable Trust Installs Unique 20-Foot Bottle-Shaped Water Kiosk in Surat
Surat – With the mission of providing pure and cool drinking water for all, the Chai Pe Charcha Charitable Trust has installed the city’s first-of-its-kind public water kiosk near Alliance House at Sosyo Circle on Udhna–Magdalla Road. The kiosk, designed in the shape of a large bottle, stands about 20 feet tall and has already become a visual attraction for passersby.
The water kiosk was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mrs. Mini Joseph from the Women’s Wing of Surat Police in the presence of several trust members. ACP Joseph, who is also a member of the trust, appreciated the initiative, describing it as a reflection of social awareness and responsibility towards the community.
The trust’s founder, Subhash Dawar, explained that Chai Pe Charcha Charitable Trust began as a simple morning tea discussion among friends and has now evolved into a well-organized social group with over 190 members. Over time, more citizens have joined the trust, inspired by its consistent efforts toward public welfare and community service.
Dawar further mentioned that the trust plans to expand the “Pyau” project to various parts of Surat so that pure and cool drinking water can be easily accessible to everyone. Reaffirming its commitment to social causes, the trust expressed its determination to continue helping those in need and to carry forward such welfare initiatives in the future.
