ISPL Season 3 to be Hosted in Surat from January 9 to February 6, 2026
Surat. The third season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), a tournament that has given Indian street cricket a global identity, will be held at Surat’s Lalbhai Contractor Stadium from January 9 to February 6, 2026. The event is being regarded as a proud moment for the Surat District Cricket Association (SDCA).
As per report, SDCA Cricket Secretary Dr. Naimish Desai informed that ISPL was established in 2024 with the objective of providing a national platform for talented street cricket players from across the country. Bollywood actor Salman Khan is the brand ambassador of the league, while cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Ashish Sailer, Deepak Chauhan, Meenal Amol Kale, and Suraj Samant are members of its core committee. Former Indian cricket coach Ravi Shastri serves as the league’s chief mentor.
The first two seasons of ISPL were held in Thane, Maharashtra, and the upcoming third season will mark the tournament’s debut in Surat. The 10-over tennis ball-based competition will feature eight teams owned by leading Bollywood celebrities. The team lineup includes Bangalore Strikers (Hrithik Roshan), Chennai Singam (Suriya), Falcon Risers Hyderabad (Ram Charan), Tigers of Kolkata (Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor), Majhi Mumbai (Amitabh Bachchan), Srinagar Veer (Akshay Kumar), Ahmedabad Lions (Ajay Devgn), and New Delhi (Salman Khan).
The Tigers of Kolkata won the first season, while Amitabh Bachchan’s Majhi Mumbai clinched the title in the second. The winning team this season will receive a prize of Rs. 1 crore, and the runner-up team will be awarded Rs. 50 lakh. The tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) will be presented with a Porsche 911 car.
Dr. Desai further informed that selection trials are being conducted across 102 cities in India, with more than 4.5 million players having registered so far. Each team will consist of 18 players, including two mandatory under-19 players. A total of 350 players will be selected through an auction process, and the salary cap has been increased from Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 1.5 crore.
For players from Surat, including Abhishek Dalor, Sagar Ali, Rajat Munde, Ketan Mahatre, Jagannath Sarkar, and Fardeen Kazi, the ISPL presents an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level.
All matches of ISPL 2025 will be broadcast live on Star Sports and Jio Hotstar. Matches will be played from Monday to Friday between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm, and on weekends between 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The grand opening ceremony is expected to feature several Bollywood stars, cricketers, and team owners.
To ensure the success of this prestigious event, SDCA President Kanaybhai Contractor, Secretary Hitesh Patel, Vice Presidents Amit Gajjar and Narendra Patel, Cricket Secretary Dr. Naimish Desai, along with the entire managing and cricket committees, are actively involved in preparations.
